Without a doubt one of the best films in the last decade or so. It can be watched without loss as two distinct films. The first act, a distinct dvd, is complete enough.
With ample political backgound and fair suspense, the film is simply profoundly satisfying. For younger audiences there is a crash course of refresher in European history. For those who lived it or lived through it it’s a fascinating trop down ..well, never mind.
If you have a mind, the movie – it’s extremely clear characters and their motivivation will occupy it for a long time. If you don’t, you will be bored stiff. Go rent dumb and dumber or a slasher movie. The R rating is hardly deserved, but the would supposes a level of maturity which would probably bore most kids, anyway.
Of course it’s going to be better in Italian, but the English subtitles are more than sufficient to get the finer points of the plot and character development (which is spectacular).

LA MULTI ANI CU NOROC – de adjective ocupate-tu.N-am stiut de data acestui jubileu dar, niciodata nu-i prea tarziu pentru in gand bun.Surpriza mea a fost semnalul de la tine, chiar daca pentru a nu ma imbata cu aa rece, eram si eu pe lista de adrese.Oricum ar fi iti multumesc si ITI DORESC TOT BINELE DIN LUME.Astept sa-mi spui si alte noutati bune,adica bune pentru tine.

there was this woman on the train the other day, she had Drew Barrymore’s face! I swear! I thought for a minute that maybe it was Drew Barrymore, if it wasn’t for her body. It really itched me to tell her she looked like DB, I knew I would have made her day, but she got off before me. It would have been awkward anyway.
